The Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes!

Peterborough Mitsubishi is proud to be a pet-friendly dealership. We understand that your pets are part of your family and we encourage them to join you during your search for a new or used vehicle or to hang out during your service appointments.

Our love of all animals has made it a no-brainer decision to become a sponsor of The Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes

We hope that all the animals at The Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes can find their forever homes.

The Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes began rescuing pets in 1986 and was founded by a group of concerned citizens. After many generous donations and the purchase of their current location at 111 McLaughlin Road, the shelter was built and the Adoption Centre opened its doors in 1999.

The Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes aims to protect all animals, enforce protection laws and educate the public. Dreaming of a day that every animal has an amazing quality of life with caring, responsible and knowledgeable owners.

Melody is a very sweet 2.5-year-old, spayed female. Melody was adopted from us a year ago and then brought back just recently because she wasn't the snuggly cat they were looking for. Melody loves and prefers the company of other cats over that of humans. She will tolerate humans but does not want to sit on your lap. She will come to see you and once she trusts you allow you to pet her. She would love a nice quiet home where she can relax and spend her days looking out the windows keep guard of her castle. If Melody sounds like a kitty that would be a good fit for your home or a great companion for your cat, please come see her in Room B.
