The Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes!

Peterborough Mitsubishi is proud to be a pet-friendly dealership. We understand that your pets are part of your family and we encourage them to join you during your search for a new or used vehicle or to hang out during your service appointments.

Our love of all animals has made it a no-brainer decision to become a sponsor of The Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes

We hope that all the animals at The Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes can find their forever homes.

The Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes began rescuing pets in 1986 and was founded by a group of concerned citizens. After many generous donations and the purchase of their current location at 111 McLaughlin Road, the shelter was built and the Adoption Centre opened its doors in 1999.

The Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes aims to protect all animals, enforce protection laws and educate the public. Dreaming of a day that every animal has an amazing quality of life with caring, responsible and knowledgeable owners.

Turtle was brought in after she was live trapped for a TNR program, but it had turned out she was very friendly and could be placed in a home. Turtle was in a foster home for a few days where we noticed she was sick. She refused to eat and lost a lot of weight. After a quick vet trip and some close monitoring, she was on the mend in another foster home. Due to living outside Turtle was missing a lot of valuable nutrients which was making her sick.

This sweet girl is now feeling her best and ready for her forever home. She is super cuddly and loving. She would be okay with other cats, and children. She is 4 months old, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines.
