The Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes!

Peterborough Mitsubishi is proud to be a pet-friendly dealership. We understand that your pets are part of your family and we encourage them to join you during your search for a new or used vehicle or to hang out during your service appointments.

Our love of all animals has made it a no-brainer decision to become a sponsor of The Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes

We hope that all the animals at The Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes can find their forever homes.

The Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes began rescuing pets in 1986 and was founded by a group of concerned citizens. After many generous donations and the purchase of their current location at 111 McLaughlin Road, the shelter was built and the Adoption Centre opened its doors in 1999.

The Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes aims to protect all animals, enforce protection laws and educate the public. Dreaming of a day that every animal has an amazing quality of life with caring, responsible and knowledgeable owners.

There are many animals patiently waiting to meet you and your family.

Take a look at the Pet Of The Week sponsored by Peterborough Muttsubishi to find out more about one of the amazing adoptables at the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes.

Tonic was brought to the shelter as a stray in March after no one claimed him. He is approximately a 4-year-old tabby male.

Tonic is shy at first when you meet him, but once you start petting him, he just melts into your lap for cuddles. His ideal home would be quiet, with an owner who understands he may need some time to come around as he gets use to his new environment, after that he we are sure he will reward you with the best lap cuddles.

We do not think Tonic would be best around other cats or dogs, as he prefers to keep to himself. He is ready to find his forever home. He is recently neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Included in the adoption is a month supply of Royal Canin food to help with the transition if his new owner is deciding to change his diet.
