The Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes!

Peterborough Mitsubishi is proud to be a pet-friendly dealership. We understand that your pets are part of your family and we encourage them to join you during your search for a new or used vehicle or to hang out during your service appointments.

Our love of all animals has made it a no-brainer decision to become a sponsor of The Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes

We hope that all the animals at The Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes can find their forever homes.

The Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes began rescuing pets in 1986 and was founded by a group of concerned citizens. After many generous donations and the purchase of their current location at 111 McLaughlin Road, the shelter was built and the Adoption Centre opened its doors in 1999.

The Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes aims to protect all animals, enforce protection laws and educate the public. Dreaming of a day that every animal has an amazing quality of life with caring, responsible and knowledgeable owners.

Hi everyone! Meet the Guinea Pig Brothers!

Reamus and Albus were brought into the shelter when their owner's living situation changed and they could no longer keep them.

These two year old brothers have always lived together and will need to go to the same home. They are very sweet and have been handled a great deal since birth so they are well socialized.

If you would like to meet these two lovable guys please call the shelter to set up an appointment to meet them. They say if you're coming you better bring some carrots!!Find out more about any pet we've featured by calling the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes at 1-705-878-4618 or visit online at www.hskl.ca.
